TREI Real Estate GmbH, a real estate subsidiary of the Germany-based Tengelman Group, has announced opening two new specialty retail centers under the 'VENDO Park' name. The two new additions are located in Bánovce, Slovakia, and Jablonec, the Czech Republic. The Bánovce VENDO Park is the TREI's first property to be opened in Slovakia, bringing the grand total of openings for 2012 to three.
'TREI's intensive preliminary work for the implementation of the VENDO Park concept is now bearing fruit. With the opening of the first specialty retail centers in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and soon in Poland, TREI is once again demonstrating its skill as a real estate partner of retail businesses in Eastern Europe', said Karl-Erivan W. Haub, Managing Director and personally liable partner of the Tengelman Group.
TREI Real Estate has other projects planned for 2013. 'Our development pipeline for 2013 is full and we will foreseeably open five additional 'VENDO Parks'. In addition to our first two openings in Poland, two more in Slovakia and one in the Czech Republic are planned', said Urban Plattes, CEO of TREI Real Estate GmbH.
All VENDO Parks managed by TREI are fully leased, their clients being well known brands from the non-food segment, both German and international, such as Deichmann, dm, Sportissimo, KiK and TAKKO. All new retail centers also have neighboring hypermarkets.
The Bánovce VENDO Park is only 130 kilometers away from Slovakia's capital city, Bratislava and has a leasing area of approximately 3,800 square meters and about 100 dedicated parking spaces. The VENDO Park in Jablonec is also relatively close to the capital, as it is located 100 kilometers northeast from Prague. The Czech retail center has a much larger leasing area of around 5,500 square meters and 145 dedicated parking spaces, making it the largest specialty retail centers developed by TREI Real Estate so far.
