BNP Paribas Appoints John Slade as Chief Executive

John Slade has been appointed Chief Executive of BNP Paribas, joining the company from Accrue Capital where he is currently Chief Executive Officer.

Slade is to lead 600 employees and will further develop the services already in place which include property development, property management, investment management, transaction, and valuation. John has a strong track record of advising on investment transactions both internationally and in London, in particular the purchase of Goldman Sachs HQ in Fleet Street, and the Lloyds Building, as well as transactions in France and Germany worth billions of euros. His previous roles have included Chief Executive of the City at Richard Ellis, and Chairman of DTZ Capital Markets. When he takes up his position with BNP Paribas next month, Mark England will take up a new role as Managing Director.

BNP Paribas Real Estate has 3,400 employees, and achieved a gross turnover of '658 million last year, and a profit of '156 million. It is part of the BNP Paribas Group, a European bank operating in 79 countries, and employing nearly 200,000 people.
